Is CoI recruiting? We usually have raid spots open for specific classes which are advertised on our front page. In general, we are always on the lookout for new potential members and we're happy to receive applications from skilled and experienced players of any class. If you are interested in joining us then send us an application -- scroll down to see how. Even if we do not have room for you now, we still keep the interesting applications and may get back to you at a later time.
Who are we looking for? We want...
* Players who strive to always perform their best and are prepared to raid at the highest level, including consumables, progress nights, the ability to learn new strategies etc. * Players who seek challenges and who are willing to do what it takes to overcome any challenge. * Dedicated players. We only have official raids 5 times a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 19:00-23:59. We expect you to attend 3.5 out of 5 as a minimum. We also expect you to attend the the raid in its fullness. * Helpful players. Raiding is not a competition with your guild mates. Help your guild mates perform better. * Mature players. If you can not communicate in a sensible fashion we do not want you. English is our spoken and written language; non-native speakers are welcome, but you must be able to communicate and understand instructions.
How do I apply? You need to write an application and send it to apps@coreofinsight.net. We do not have a specific application template, we'd prefer you to write your own.
What do I include in my application? Generally everything you may find relevant for a raiding guild to know. The obvious information includes your name, server, armory link, class, spec and a little background on why you play what you play. How much experience do you have with endgame raiding and with your specific role and class? What is your gear like, and do you have other gear sets we should know about? Why are you leaving your current guild, and what do you hope to find with us? Do you know anyone in Core of Insight? Can you attend all our raids? These and any other questions you think we should know the answers to should all be in your application.
What happens next? Our officer team will receive and review your application, and hopefully someone will be in touch with you within a few days. If you're applying for a slot we haven't advertised, your reply may take a little longer while we debate whether we can fit you in. You can always contact us for an application update either ingame or via email, but please bear in mind spam whispering a raid leader on a raid night is not going to endear you to us.
I've got a friend who's an awesome but you're only recruiting *class x*! We consider each application on its own merits, so if you have a great friend or two who you wish to apply with, you're free to do so -- but we might only have room for one of you. In situations like this, we try to contact you to figure out if there's an arrangement we can all come to, but please bear in mind joint applications are harder to deal with than single ones so we can't promise to fit you all in, especially if we're not recruiting all the classes involved.
What's your DKP system like / How soon can I get loot / Do we get free gems / Do you farm Gruul, I need DST still / Can my alt come to Black Temple? If you've got any questions about how we raid, how the guild as a whole works or anything like that, you're welcome to whisper an officer ingame or say hello on our forums and ask what you like. We don't just raid endgame instances; we have a healthy set of alt raids going and an active PvP roster, regular retro runs and everything you'd expect from a long-standing, well-respected guild.
